Three power claps for our Site Teachers of the Year! 👏👏👏 The PC Association of Classroom Teachers recognized all 27 of our Site Teachers of the Year at this week's Board Meeting. We are incredibly proud of these teachers and so thankful that they chose to teach in PC!

On this last day of school before Winter Break, the halls were filled with laughter, joy, and holiday cheer. ❄️ From cozy holiday PJs to jingling holiday parties, it was a perfect day to deck the halls with memories that will last all season long. 🎄

Check out these hardworking Northridge Knights! ⚔️ 4th and 5th grade leadership students volunteered at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma recently with their School Counselor, Laura Hardee. The experience expanded students' understanding of good citizenship and contributing to meet the needs of others. They helped prepare almost 11,000lbs of food into over 3,000 bags for Oklahomans in just a few hours! 🤗
Northridge Elementary- Putnam City Schools
Students from 10 different elementary schools, staff, and family members came together at PC High for the highly anticipated annual PC Stars of the Future event! ✨ This event is always fun as it is their first time participating in Special Olympics. There were definitely plenty of star athletes in training. 🤩

Thanksgiving spirit in action! 🤗 Child Nutrition prepared all the fixings, and then high school leaders stepped up to serve the delicious Thanksgiving lunch to our elementary students, spreading joy and setting an example across our District.🍴

The second graders at Northridge Elementary celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day this week by making apple pies together! Through the story of Johnny Appleseed, they learned valuable lessons about kindness, generosity, and the importance of nature. They also explored how apple trees change with the seasons and discovered how one small apple seed—or a simple act of kindness—can make a big difference in the world around them.
🤑 FUNdraising at Northridge ends with slime 🤑
Slime was the grand finale of the Fun Run at Northridge Elementary today. These fundraising efforts took buckets of dedication; dedication of the students and families for raising all the money, and dedication of our amazing teachers and principal for willing to get slimed!

Superintendent Dr. Rhodes ventures every week to visit our schools, see the action, talk to students and teachers, and participate in fun activities that he finds along the way. Today, we road along on his trip to visit the Lake Park Lions, Western Oaks Elementary and Middle School Warriors, Central Cubs, and the PC Aviation Academy. Kids will truly say the best things, including one today asking Dr. Rhodes, "Are you the President?" 🤓

Putnam City Campus Police Officer Parker Mauk, Officer Davon Spencer, and Officer Jake Bradley have graduated from the State of Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training Basic Police Officer 16-week Academy in Ada, OK! We are thankful for their commitment to our students, staff, and PC Community.

🚜 Moving Dirt for the New PC Centennial Center 🚜
Another School Bond project is underway with the construction on the PC Centennial Center officially beginning. The PC Centennial Center will be the home of a new community park, outdoor amphitheater, fine arts auditorium, meeting halls, School Board room, and administrative offices. We look forward to keeping up with the updates and, of course, the opening in a couple of years! 🛠️

Huge shout out to Shelly Armstrong and Zachary Wouters for being distinguished as Nationally Certified Supervisors of Pupil Transportation through the National Association of Pupil Transportation. There are only three Nationally Certified Supervisors in the State of Oklahoma and two of them are right here in Putnam City Schools!
