3rd–5th graders at Ralph Downs Elementary celebrated Halloween a little differently by learning all about leadership from Boomer, the University of Oklahoma’s mascot! Boomer, Speedy, and our Roadrunners practiced “getting into character” and talked about the importance of following through and being respectful.

Putnam City High senior 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝗼𝗼 has been named a 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗼𝗰𝗮-𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁!
Out of more than 107,000 applicants nationwide, only 1,238 students were selected for their academic excellence, leadership, and service. We’re proud to see Marcello representing the Putnam City among the nation’s best and brightest!

With careful guidance from our campus police officers and JROTC instructors, PC High and PC West cadets had live-fire training, emphasizing safety, precision, and focus. After their training (and clean-up), they enjoyed a cookout together! Experiences like this give students a real-world look at the responsibilities that come with military service.

The softball team wrapped up an almost perfect season, the volleyball team claimed the district championship, and registrar Audrea Krise was named Putnam City’s Support Staff of the Month. We love celebrating wins from across our schools!

🥚 Engineering meets egg-citement!
Western Oaks Elementary teamed up with the Bethany Fire Department for a sky-high STEM challenge! Students tested their egg-protection designs as firefighters dropped them from the top of the ladder, learning how engineers reduce impact (and getting a close-up look at some very cool safety gear).

Students and staff dressed like rock stars and faced off in a school wide rock-paper-scissors tournament, where each player started with beads and passed them on when they lost. The ones with the most beads at the end were crowned champs - the perfect finish for a day of school spirit!

We’ve all been there, staring at numbers that don’t add up in our heads. PC High's Physics classes used water droplets to track their own speed and position, seeing the math unfold in real time. With creative teaching like this, our students see that complex ideas really can make sense!
